Govanhill Baths
Measured building and topographical survey of a Category B listed Edwardian bathhouse in Glasgow.
Get a quote for your projectGovanhill Baths is a Category B listed Edwardian public bathhouse in Glasgow, designed by architect A.B. McDonald and opened between 1912 and 1917.
The building is currently closed for refurbishment works, which required a full measured building and topographical survey of the grounds before works could begin. The brief also included high-resolution scan imagery of the historic swimming pool tiles, allowing specialist architects to assess whether they needed replacing without any intrusive investigation.
We were invited to submit proposals alongside several competitors. Our competitive pricing and lead times secured the instruction.
Our team attended site over two days, completing a structured scanning process to make sure all areas of the building were captured for the renovation work. The spaces included three full-length swimming pools, seating galleries and smaller upper-storey bathrooms.
Completed drawings were issued within three weeks of attendance, enabling the renovation to proceed on programme.
