Every sector throws up its own problems. A live airport means working around operations and tight security. A listed building means capturing the detail without touching the fabric. A school usually means working in the holidays, or around pupils if it can't wait. A retail unit needs floor areas accurate enough to hold up in a lease.
The survey itself is usually one of a handful of services. It's how we plan and run it that changes. Most sector work comes down to measured building surveys for accurate plans of what's already there, topographical surveys for site levels, features and boundaries, 3D laser scanning where you need a lot of detail quickly, and underground utility surveys to find what's below ground before anyone digs.
